Yunjia Sun joined Han Kun Law Offices in 2016. Prior to joining Han Kun, Ms. Sun worked at King & Wood Mallesons. Ms. Sun specializes in aircraft, engine and equipment financing, as well as banking and loan financing.
In the aviation finance sector, Ms. Sun has extensively represented mainstream domestic and international lessors, airlines and banks, and has been deeply involved in a wide range of aircraft, engine and equipment financing projects, including pre-delivery payment financing, operating leases, finance leases, portfolio transactions and refinancing. She excels at adopting a holistic perspective to provide clients with full-cycle legal support covering transaction structuring, legal due diligence, drafting and review of project documentation, and issuance of PRC legal opinions. She has also participated in the purchase and sale of aircraft, engines and other aviation equipment, serving clients including major domestic airlines and general aviation companies.
In the banking and finance sector, Ms. Sun has extensive experience in various domestic and cross-border financing projects, including general commercial loans, syndicated loans, project finance and receivables financing. Ms. Sun's legal services include reviewing transaction documents, conducting legal due diligence, drafting project documents and providing PRC legal opinions.
In shipping finance projects, Ms. Sun represents domestic leasing companies, banks and other institutions in ship financing and leasing transactions. Ms. Sun's legal services in such projects include due diligence, issuance of specialized opinions on the overall transaction structure and legal compliance on a project-by-project basis, review of shipbuilding contracts, drafting of all transaction documents, and coordinating with law firms in all relevant jurisdictions involved in the transaction structure.
