Mr. Lin began his legal career in 2009. Prior to joining Han Kun, Mr. Lin practiced at two other elite PRC law firms.
Mr. Lin specializes in commercial dispute resolution, with a focus on disputes arising out of equity investment and financing, red-chip structure investments, corporate governance and control battles, private equity and financial asset management, M&A transactions, pharmaceutical licensing, commercial leasing, as well as real estate and construction projects. Mr. Lin brings extensive case-handling expertise and exceptional project management skills to the matters he undertakes.
Mr. Lin has successfully represented numerous litigation and arbitration cases involving equity investments and corporate governance disputes. Leveraging his strong analytical skills and deep understanding of complex case dynamics, Mr. Lin is adept at developing comprehensive strategies, coordinating across stakeholders, and helping clients achieve favorable outcomes. Mr. Lin also regularly advises on real estate leasing disputes, representing both landlords and tenants. He has successfully led clients through multiple high-stakes commercial leasing disputes, including large-scale lease terminations and repossession actions, enabling clients to achieve critical business objectives.
Mr. Lin is experienced in cross-border dispute resolution, with a strong track record in managing complex cross-border cases, coordinating multi-jurisdictional proceedings, facilitating the recognition and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards across jurisdictions, and managing multi-jurisdictional legal teams to deliver effective results for clients.
Additionally, Mr. Lin has particular expertise in red-chip structure disputes. He has provided strong legal support in highly complex and high stakes matters, earning the deep trust and recognition of his clients. Mr. Lin has represented onshore and offshore operating entities, founders, and investors in a broad range of red-chip disputes. In several large-scale cases, he has designed multi-faceted defense strategies encompassing equity, asset, and business restructuring, enabling clients to gain the upper hand in negotiations with investors. Drawing on his thorough understanding of both red-chip structures and dispute resolution procedures in China and abroad, Mr. Lin also advises on settlement frameworks and implementation strategies, often proposing creative solutions that have allowed clients to resolve disputes smoothly and efficiently.
