Ms. Liang has extensive experience in cross-border financial services and asset management. She has advised numerous overseas asset managers and trading houses on accessing the China market and gaining exposure to onshore asset classes via QFI, QDII, QDLP, QFLP, Stock Connect, Bond Connect, and CIBM Direct. She also supports asset managers in their establishment, registration, and operation, as well as fund product filings and offerings.
Furthermore, Ms. Liang provides end-to-end advice to onshore and offshore financial institutions on PRC regulatory and compliance matters, including licensing, cross-border data compliance, transaction compliance, AML, marketing restrictions, as well as the PRC blocking rules and the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law.
In the field of banking and finance, Ms. Liang has represented domestic and international banks in a wide range of financing transactions, including trade finance, cross-border and onshore syndicated loans, and acquisition finance. She has also long been seconded to a foreign invested bank covering corporate banking business, including trade finance, custody services (QFI, CIBM, QDII, asset management products, and trust-related custody), and cash pool structuring and optimization.
