Work experience

Mr. Zhaojiang Xue is currently an attorney at Han Kun Law Offices, with a practice focusing on banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and outbound investment.
Prior to joining Han Kun, Mr. Xue practiced in the Banking and Finance Department of Hairun Law Firm, where he provided legal services on domestic and offshore financial transactions to a range of clients, including large state-owned commercial banks, policy banks, development finance institutions, foreign banks, financial leasing companies, trust companies, and corporate clients.  Mr. Xue specializes in banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and outbound investment, with extensive practical experience across cross-border financing, syndicated loans, trade finance, acquisition finance, debt restructuring, offshore bond transactions, and transactions involving financial institutions.  He is well-versed in structuring complex cross-border transactions, coordinating legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, managing risk for financial institutions, and navigating China's financial regulatory requirements and international financing documentation frameworks.  Having participated in numerous domestic and offshore financing and investment projects, Mr. Xue provides clients with full-cycle legal services, including transaction structuring, legal due diligence, review of financing and transaction documents, and regulatory compliance analysis.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Xue served from 2021 to 2023 as a legal/compliance specialist at a public institution in Beijing, where he gained hands-on experience in corporate compliance management.

Educational background

Mr. Xue received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in the United States in 2020, and his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics in Finance from Southwest University in 2019.
