Shuyuan Shen has been practicing law since 2021 and previously worked at a renowned "Red Circle" law firm in China.
Mr. Shen primarily handles commercial litigation and non-contentious (advisory) legal matters. His main practice areas include: commercial dispute resolution, investment, financing and M&A, bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation, acquisition and disposal of non-performing assets, and general corporate counsel services.
Commercial Dispute Resolution – Mr. Shen has handled a broad range of disputes, including equity transfer disputes, private equity fund disputes, corporate governance and control-contest disputes, partnership enterprise disputes, construction engineering disputes, international sale-of-goods contract disputes, and third-party objector (execution objection) disputes, among other commercial dispute resolution matters.
Investment, Financing and M&A – Mr. Shen has provided legal services for due diligence and equity acquisitions in connection with the acquisition of companies in the mining, hotel and cultural-tourism, non-performing-asset collection, and education industries.
Bankruptcy Reorganization and Liquidation – Mr. Shen has acted as legal counsel to debtors and creditors, advising on claim verification, attending creditors' meetings, and rendering legal opinions on the draft reorganization plan prepared by the administrator, the implementation of the reorganization plan, and the debtor's asset distribution plan. He also represents the interests of debtors/creditors in communicating with the administrator on legal matters arising during reorganization and liquidation proceedings.
Acquisition and Disposal of Non-Performing Assets – Mr. Shen has conducted due diligence and acquisitions involving real-estate and debt-related assets and has handled applications to the court for the resumption of compulsory enforcement, communicating and coordinating with enforcement judges to advance execution.
