Since entering private practice, Ms. Chu has represented clients in a wide range of major and complex criminal cases, including a case involving the actual controller of a high-tech enterprise accused of trade secret infringement; a case involving the chairman of a state-owned enterprise accused of fraud; the first case involving alleged trade secret infringement in connection with overseas examination questions; a case involving the head of an overseas subsidiary of a central state-owned enterprise accused of abuse of power and bribery; and a case involving the actual controller of a listed company accused of securities market manipulation and breach of trust, causing harm to the interests of the listed company. She has achieved favorable outcomes in numerous matters, including dismissals at the investigation stage, decisions not to prosecute, and acquittals.
For several consecutive years, Ms. Chu has handled cases that have been selected for publication or recognition in the Criminal Trial Reference of the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Court's Excellent Cases, the Guiding Cases of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, representative cases featured in the Shanghai Financial Prosecution White Paper, and the Top Ten Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Cases of Shanghai Courts.
