On May 23, 2025, Asian Legal Business ("ALB") formally announced its "2025 ALB China Regional Ranking: South China Rising Lawyers". Han Kun partner Cheng Zhang, who is based in the firm's Shenzhen office, was honored in the rankings due to his standout practice.
Mr. Zhang specializes in domestic and international capital markets, private equity and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investments, and corporate restructuring and global expansions. The list is a result of months-long research, surveys, and selection by ALB, by referring to law firm submissions, editorial resources, market suggestions and on-line surveys to identify young lawyers who are developing rapidly into leading figures with ambition, potential, excellent performance and good reputation in the regional legal market. The factors assessed include candidates' significant achievements, important deals or cases, significant work in the past 12 months, key clients, significant recognition or awards received, and client and peer remarks.
