Ms. Jiang has extensive experience in cross-border trade compliance, including import and export compliance management, trade planning and structuring, supply chain compliance, and export controls and sanctions.
Ms. Jiang has around 15 years of experience and extensive professional knowledge with respect to import and export compliance. She is familiar with the laws, policies, and procedures across practice areas relating to import and export and customs issues. Ms. Jiang has advised hundreds of multinational companies, large state-owned enterprises, and private enterprises on a wide range of trade issues covering tariff planning, transfer pricing and risk control, customs audits and investigation, processing trade verification, AEO certification and re-certification, tax dispute resolution, and administrative reconsideration. She has won wide recognition from her clients, which operate in industries such as automobile, healthcare and medical devices, electronics and telecommunications, mechanical and electronic products, luxury goods, and food products. Meanwhile, Ms. Jiang has also participated on many occasions in regulatory inquiries and research activities organized by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Additionally, Ms. Jiang assists clients with U.S. anti-circumvention, Section 232, and Section 301 investigations. She helps enterprises to obtain reduced tariff rates and product exclusions to protect their rights and interests in overseas markets.
In recent years, Ms. Jiang has also provided export control and economic sanctions-related legal services to many well-known enterprises in China, the United States, and Europe based on the unique aspects of their businesses. She has assisted her clients in carrying out internal compliance investigations and formulating and implementing tailored export control and sanctions compliance systems. In addition, Ms. Jiang also provides trade-related legal services for transactions in the automobile, semiconductor, and aviation industries, such as pre-transaction feasibility analysis, special export control due diligence and internal compliance management, and sanctions compliance.
Ms. Jiang has contributed to numerous corporate compliance projects, offering services such as establishing compliance systems, conducting compliance inspections and investigations, identifying and assessing compliance risks, and obtaining ISO certifications for multiple state-owned, central, and private enterprises.
Ms. Xiong has extensive experience in cross-border trade compliance, including import and export compliance management, customs dispute resolution, corporate compliance, and foreign direct investment and M&A.
Ms. Xiong brings over 10 years of legal practice experience. In terms of import and export compliance management/ customs dispute resolution, Ms. Xiong is familiar with the laws, regulations and practical operations of import and export trade and customs in various business areas and has solid professional knowledge and rich practical experience in customs supervision, inspection, processing trade, intellectual property rights, administrative penalties, AEO certification, and re-certification. She has handled a large number of import and export tax disputes (including commodity categorization, prices, etc.), as well as customs audit response, administrative reconsideration, administrative penalties, and smuggling cases involving automobiles, iron and steel, electronics, chemical products, and other industries.
With respect to corporate compliance, Ms. Xiong provided services such as establishing compliance systems, conducting compliance inspections and investigations, identifying and assessing compliance risks, and obtaining ISO certification for a number of state-owned and private enterprises.
