Han Kun Law Offices is pleased to announce that Mr. Dong Zhang has recently joined the firm, further strengthening the firm's commercial dispute resolution capabilities. Mr. Zhang will be based in the firm's Shenzhen office.
Mr. Zhang specializes in providing full-spectrum legal services to private equity funds, covering market entry, ongoing compliance and general advisory, investment risk control, dispute resolution, and integrated risk management. He has extensive experience providing tailored services to financial institutions, including advising on and handling disputes related to securities companies' fund outsourcing and custody, margin trading, derivatives trading, and misrepresentation matters. Mr. Zhang also represents banks, public funds, fund distribution companies, and futures companies in dispute resolution matters. Additionally, Mr. Zhang is well-versed in providing legal services to the entertainment and cultural industries, including advising on concerts, films, television dramas, music, as well as handling related disputes.
Mr. Zhang has long been engaged in legal services for financial and investment dispute resolution, including equity investment and repurchase disputes, M&A disputes, and derivatives dispute resolution. He provides specific legal services for transaction brokers, including fund custody and outsourcing, derivatives trading, margin financing and securities lending pledges, misrepresentation, as well as handling disputes for various asset management matters such as public funds and trusts. Mr. Zhang also handles comprehensive dispute resolution services, including integrated "litigation and non-litigation" legal services and comprehensive risk resolution, as well as enforcement and recovery legal services, including disputes related to debt recovery and other matters.
Mr. Zhang received a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Wuhan University . He is a member of the PRC Bar. Mr. Zhang is currently a registered arbitrator at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration.
The addition of Mr. Zhang will further enhance the firm's dispute resolution capabilities in South China. This will enable us to build a seamless dispute resolution team spanning North, East, and South China with national coverage, unlocking synergies and bolstering Han Kun's capabilities in international arbitration (including Hong Kong SAR and Singapore) and cross-border dispute resolution and enforcement.
