Mr. Li has specialized in commercial dispute resolution since he began practicing law. He has represented many mainland and Hong Kong listed companies as well as multinational corporations in litigation and arbitration cases involving complex commercial disputes. Mr. Li is experienced in handling disputes arising from joint venture agreements, shareholders' agreements, liability of directors and senior officers, control disputes, shareholder/director right-to-know litigations, and investment agreements (investors' redemption right disputes, claims based on corporate misrepresentations).
Responding to recent trends in commercial disputes, Mr. Li has assisted clients in handling a large number of red-chip structured share repurchase disputes and has accumulated extensive experience in new-types of commercial dispute cases involving digital currencies. Mr. Li regularly assists clients in handling cross-border disputes involving numerous offshore (Cayman, BVI, Bermuda) elements and has extensive experience in cooperating with clients and offshore lawyers in cross-border litigation/arbitration solutions.
Mr. Li has been consistently recognized by multiple leading global legal directories as a Rising Star for Hong Kong, a Recommended Lawyer for PRC Firm in Hong Kong, and one of the Top 15 Legal Practitioners (Foreign-related Legal Services).
This is the fourth year since CLECSS Award for Top Legal Practitioners in the Greater Bay Area was inaugurated. It is the result of a selection process where candidates were carefully evaluated in terms of their education background, area of expertise, and location of practice, among other considerations. The 10 winners of the 2025 award, including Mr. Li, are mostly from domestic firms and are stellar lawyers practicing in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, or Hong Kong who continue to pursue professional excellence while serving as generous contributors to the legal industry.
