Han Kun Law Offices is pleased to announce that Ms. LOI Chon Nga (Joanne) has recently joined the firm's Hong Kong office as a partner. The addition of Joanne will further strengthen and enhance Han Kun's capital markets capabilities.
With over 15 years of extensive experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial practices, Joanne focuses on compliance and post-listing transaction advisory work for Hong Kong-listed companies. She has been involved in numerous compliance matters, and her clients cover a wide range of industries, including technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, logistics, financial services, retail, real estate, mining, energy and manufacturing.
Joanne has led and involved in a number of unique compliance projects, including advising companies listed concurrently in two or three jurisdictions, as well as advising the first H-share company with a weighted voting rights (WVR) structure listed in Hong Kong on compliance and corporate governance matters. She also advises PRC and multinational clients on takeovers and acquisitions of listed companies.
Prior to joining Han Kun, Joanne has previously worked at several international law firms, including Sidley Austin and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Joanne is qualified to practice as a Solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong and is a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Australia).
The addition of Joanne will further enhance the firm's professional capabilities in continuous corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters for listed companies, achieve sound synergy with the existing capital market practice, and continuously improve the firm's legal services for listed companies.
