Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration ("Shanghai SASAC") completed the selection of its external legal advisors. Mr. Eric Zhang, partner and co-managing partner of Han Kun's Shanghai Office, was appointed as an external legal advisor to Shanghai SASAC, leveraging his profound expertise and industry leadership in legal services for state-owned assets and enterprises.
Mr. Zhang has long been deeply engaged in the field of legal services for state-owned assets and enterprises. His practice covers cross-border M&A, asset restructuring, real estate and construction engineering, and domestic and international dispute resolution. He has consistently provided full-process legal support to numerous central SOEs, local SOEs, and state-owned assets regulatory authorities at all levels. Since his initial appointment in July 2023, Mr. Zhang has been deeply involved in various Shanghai SASAC legal matters, including the development of state-owned assets regulatory systems, research on major administrative decisions, and the handling of administrative cases.
