Ms. Zhao focuses on private equity and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, PRC and international capital markets, foreign direct investment, and outbound investment.  She regularly advises multinational corporations, strategic investors, private equity funds, listed companies, and growth-stage businesses throughout the transaction lifecycle, and has substantial experience in complex equity investments, asset acquisitions, spin-off financings, cross-border joint ventures, and H-share listings.
Drawing on her qualifications as a PRC lawyer, a New York attorney, and a Certified Public Accountant in China, Ms. Zhao approaches transactions from legal, financial and execution perspectives.  Her work includes transaction structuring, legal due diligence, regulatory and compliance analysis, drafting and negotiating Chinese and English transaction documents, signing and closing, and post-investment matters.  Her sector experience spans the internet and platform economy, gaming, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, smart hardware, automotive, logistics, consumer and retail, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

Ms. Zhao is currently pursuing an MBA at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.  She holds an LL.B. from Zhejiang University, an LL.M. in Finance Law from the University of International Business and Economics, and an LL.M. in Corporation Law from New York University.
