Work experience

Ms. Song Huiyi has been practicing law since 2014, beginning her career at Clifford Chance in the UK and Zhong Lun Law Firm, before joining Han Kun Law Offices in 2016. Over the years, she has accumulated extensive and diverse practical experience in capital markets and cross-border family law matters, with a focus on serving high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs)—including entrepreneurs, founders, and investors—and their families in areas such as marriage, inheritance, and integrated wealth management. Her services encompass risk prevention, wealth planning, and dispute resolution.
Ms. Song has assisted HNWI clients in establishing over 100 cross-border family trusts, family funds, and family offices. She has also provided legal support in numerous complex marriage and inheritance disputes, excelling particularly in cross-border family litigation. Ms. Song has represented controlling shareholders of listed companies and their family members in resolving high-stakes property division disputes, demonstrating exceptional skill in formulating comprehensive strategies, tracing assets, and managing cross-border judicial proceedings—especially in cases involving parallel litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
In recent years, Ms. Song has deepened her expertise in Hong Kong-related family law services, positioning herself as one of the rare leading attorneys in the field with a dual background in corporate and family law, coupled with robust litigation and non-contentious capabilities. She is proficient in both Mainland China and Hong Kong legal systems and is trilingual in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese, enabling seamless communication with clients across jurisdictions.
Over the past five years, Ms. Song has authored over a dozen professional articles on topics including marriage and family law, trusts, philanthropy, wealth management, and residency planning.
